Quick Review Of Caviar CC Cream

Thursday, January 22, 2015

I try to be as disciplined and thoughtful as possible when it comes to my hair and skin. I love a product that actually works and leaves my hair feeling better.

This Alterna Caviar CC hair cream does 10 things in one which means less products for us to buy. If you want to grow long and healthy hair you can't gunk up on products. It's great to find one that does so many things! Okay, it smooths your hair and softens it noticeably! It adds moisture and shine, and protects against breakage which is very important in the winter months. I am a little OCD right now about how the cold weather and dry heat is making my hair so lifeless. It protects against heat damage and UV-it's really hard to find products that have UV protectant for your hair so this is a huge bonus. Basically this CC cream has everything we need for healthy hair from the inside out.

Cheesseee. I'm growing my hair out and can't wait to lighten it (had a super bad experience with coloring it about a month and a half ago). So in the mean time I'm taking excellent care of my hair and researching the best products to use which is why I wanted to share Alterna's Caviar CC Cream with you. I know you'll love it and it's only $25!

I really want to try out more of their products because they have great reviews and innovative ways of approaching treating your hair.
Here's some products worth looking into (especially the blow out kit, like hello why wouldn't you?!)

Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum Review

Sunday, August 24, 2014

I want to be applying a retinol cream every night even though I am young I like to do preventative things because you only get one shot with your skin and it's important to treat it right and be educated. Dermatologists actually recommend to start using anti-aging creams in your early 20's and one of the most common methods of anti-aging is applying sunscreen. Make sure you always apply it every day and don't rely on the SPF in your makeup!

Okay enough of the sunscreen talk. At night it's important to apply a cream that helps cell-turnover and elasticity. Retinol is the most powerful and effective stuff on the market and it comes at a hefty price.

Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum  $16 (on sale! Mine cost $20) Claims "100% of women had visible results, instantly. Instantly smoothes skin, lightweight serum, won't cause breakouts, and the highest concentration of Retinol SA available. Brightens skin tone, smooths and reduces wrinkles."

The one thing i noticed dramatically is that it made the texture of my skin amazing. My skin definitely felt so smooth and soft right away. This is definitely a good starter product to anti-aging if you don't want to spend a lot. I also want to learn more about the best night creams and formulas before I invest in the expensive stuff. It made my skin brighter since it has a chemical type of exfoliant in the product. It is lightweight and I like to massage it (gently) into my skin.

What are your favorite night creams? Have you tried Retinol yet?

Sweet Little Things: Sephora Haul & Reviews

Monday, June 16, 2014

I recommend all 5 of these products. I tested them before reviewing and sharing with you gals! Any questions on the products? Comment below and I can help!

This is my second jar of this eye cream-so it is safe to say this has become a "must-have" in my skin care routine. I apply in the morning before I put on eye concealer and at night.

2. Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation in shade "Ivory" $38.00
This is medium to full coverage. Okay foundation is where I am the pickiest in terms of makeup. I really only have used MAC Studio Fix Fluid and have been wanting to switch to something else because I just don't feel completely comfortable slathering my face with that. This felt like my skin could breath while giving build able coverage.

If I could give you this, I would! I didn't know if it was worth $30 for a brush but it was. The tools you use can really make or break your makeup look and having a flawless palette (skin) is the first step in assuring you look like a bombshell!

I bought a smaller size (50ml) for $13.00 and came without the mitt.
I try to stay out of the sun even though I am Brazilian I am paranoid about taking care of my skin. You know the phrase "the only safe tan is a fake tan." This one is a dark colored thick lotion and it goes on best with the mitt. It sort of smells like chocolate when you first put it on but then the aroma fades. It didn't leave any streaks and looks like a real tan (not orange!) This has really good reviews on Sephora if you want to browse :)

Attention boys and bombshells - This exfoliating mud mask is for men and women. I used it this morning. I also bought the smaller size for $19.00 because I wanted to try it first. I noticed my skin getting brighter right away and what I really liked was that it exfoliated so well but didn't dry out the skin (which I didn't think could happen!) So best of both worlds!

* I also got a sample of DermaDoctor DD cream... I didn't really like this- I felt like it didn't go on smooth enough for a cream. I also didn't like that it had color, usually I like my primers and BB creams to not have any color.

Let me know any questions or products you would like to try!
