Sorry I have been absent this past week! I had finals (AGAIN) haha feels like I always have finals! And then I came home from school last night and now I am preparing to go to France in a few days to study abroad! Whew what a whirlwind.

Last Winter Look

I went for a walk downtown with my friends and got a photo op in this horse carriage. Hype and Follow me on LookBook.

This look is simple, comfortable and classy. You can take it easily from day to night. A black maxi dress is a staple for me. I sometimes add a beautiful belt ($48)...Take your pick here!

My dress was from Nordstrom's Rack awhile back. Similar look can be achieved: 

Topshop Maxi Dress $36 (cheap!) or try this for a more tailored look $78. I will include a bunch of different style maxi dresses that I think are affordable, fashionable, and work for a woman's body. 

You've all seen me throw this BCBG leather jacket on almost every outfit, because it works! I love the draping in the front. You can get the same look here.($298) It's a universally flattering cut on for your frame and arms. 

Another stunning color is this grey opal draped leather jacket ($298). As a side note Trouve is one of the most exquisite labels to turn to for stunning garment shapes. 

I wore black tights ($28) with my dress.

Burrr this blizzard isn't going to get the best of us! Not on my watch. Instead of a parka or North Face jacket, I wore this buffalo print coat from Anthropologie. I love the ruffles down the side and tailored fit. I've been on the hunt for a camel long coat so I'll let you know if I find something. I actually like thrift stores for big coats!  

To keep your legs looking extra long, try pairing your black tights with a black platform shoe. I got my pair of Jeffrey Campbell's for Christmas because my mom knows I can't concentrate in flats! 

Keeping it punk up top...I didn't want the sweetness of the jacket and the Topshop acid wash skirt to overpower the look. A cropped charcoal sweater from Urban outfitters is a flattering fit and color. Just a hint-dark color tops make your skin look better than a lighter color. I got the cross necklace a while back at Forever 21.

Don't look back we aren't going that way

2013 is already in my back pocket. The best is yet to come dolls. 

I mixed a red flannel with a quilted bustier and sparkly hip-tight skirt. I felt like a punk pink up girl. Why not? Go for fabric you like, silhouettes that work your body. and colors that compliment your features. 

These are my Grammy's boots. She is a true style icon and one of the first supermodels in Vogue. To this day she is the most beautiful woman I know and she's 80! Honey I ain't mad at you :p
