Striped Halter And Milf Jeans

Monday, October 31, 2016

Urban Outfitters halter top (similar here, here, and here $8!), American Apparel high waisted jeans, Adidas All Stars.
This outfit formula is one that never steers me wrong. The weather in NYC shot back up to warmer temps so I got to wear my crop tops without a motorcycle jacket. When the weather gets chilly again i just layer a jacket over and either wear Adidas or boots. I seriously wear my All Stars everywhere so I should probably buy a new pair soon! I love this She Inside crop top, plus it’s only $8! And if you can’t tell already, I love to play up my lips and line the crap out of them 🙂 I use MAC and Laura Mercier lip pencils. My secret weapons are: spice, soar, whirl, dervish. NYX also has great dupes, btw they just opened a NYX store in Union Square so I will definitely go check that out today and probably come out with GOBS of makeup!
The vintage crop top with the grey and pink tones was on sale at Urban Outfitters a month ago. I wore it shooting a new movie for Netflix last week! I have taken a small break from acting (sort of), I more am putting my focus into honing in on my blog and what kind of brand I want to build. Acting is fun don’t get me wrong, but I also crave being creative and contributing to the fashion world.  Hopefully you are enjoying my outfit posts as of lately and I definitely am always eager to get better at it. You already know my motto: there’s always room for improvement!
Speaking of improvement, tomorrow is November 1 and the start of a new month is always a refreshing time for  me to set a new goal. I am going to be giving up sugar for the next 30 days, it’s honestly my vice and I loveeee cookie dough! If you want to try the sugar free challenge with me, stay tuned as that will be the next blog post that I’m about to publish 🙂
How would you spice up this outfit combo? Let me know in the comments! Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you, this look is on LookBook as well. I love using LookBook for outfit inspo and finding new bloggers. Feel free to follow and connect there.

Stripes For the Season

Monday, September 14, 2015

Stripes and two piece sets are taking over this season! I love this knit striped set from Forever 21, and it's on sale! I know you girls are always looking for a way to show off your curves while looking Chic. It's all about balance. Which is hard to attain when you're wearing razor thin high heels, but worth it when you realize the overall look is sleek and polished. I hope two piece sets stick around for awhile because you know how I feel about crop tops...can never have enough. I live in LA now and can wear summer-y clothing year round. During the fall and winter the general rule of thumb is to change materials and add layers. I said goodbye to my North Face parka, (for now) and plan to soak up this Cali weather while I am here! I also have been carrying this "cities clutch" everywhere. It is a practical size for the day and holds everything that you need. To make this look more fall outfit worthy, add daring black thigh high boots.

Personal:
I'm adding an extra incentive to my readers and that is to share with you my personal goals and hopefully inspire you. My blog is about continuous self improvement, sprinkled with fashion + beauty + health tidbits that make up the rest of my life. I always am reading on how to make myself better full spectrum through books on business management, time management, eating and cooking healthy, and adding new skills like coding and SEO to my resume. I figure I should share the knowledge I am picking up with you to create a hub of positive information that you can put into practice.

I just moved to LA a month ago and had a really, really shitty transition. I got in a car accident (wasn't my fault), got sick, had to navigate a new city and currently self employed so hustling my butt off. My general response to life is to be cynical and sarcastic. I am aware of this and instead of just throwing in the towel and saying "well that's how I am", I am working to change that and replace it with positivity. I think we all could benefit from being more energetic! So my personal goals are to be more energetic and responsible and cautious of how I use my time. I think these are two powerful components for anyone that is self employed...people should be excited to work with you, trust you and your reliable use of your own time to excel yourself professionally. I'll definitely be blogging more on those topics to add extra motivation to your day :)

What are your favorite looks/trends so far? I am loving the clean and modern feel. Also so relieved that floral is continuing to be prominent for spring. As Meryl Streep would put it "florals for spring...groundbreaking." Haha! But it is my favorite print to wear and always so pretty.

Day look: Denim on Denim

Monday, April 21, 2014

All I want to do is wear bright and fun spring looks. Olivia Palermo is a great bombshell to use for outfit inspiration...She can do no wrong!
Here is the formula broken down:

 1. Pick Your Shirt:

2. Pick your denim:

3. Mix and Match! Add color with these fun accessories to complete your denim look:

Row 1:

Athena Tab Strand Necklace $46 (Bauble Bar)

Row 2:

Jumbo bloom rose bib $36 (Bauble Bar)

Floral print oxfords  $69.95 (GAP) or get pointed flat version $39.95

Row 3:

J Crew Peach Aviators $160 (JCrew)

Peach Medium Sized BackPack $228 (Nordstrom)

How would you wear this look? I like all three versions and I would mix and match the accessories.

I have always been a perfectionist and when it comes to fashion, there is always room for improvement. I love to express my creative mind and my gravitation towards stunning colors and fabrics that look like art. Life is too short to not feel like a masterpiece.

Cuff it: I love the feeling of wearing a pretty cuff. Like a woman in power.
Other arm candy options:

Turn heads in breezy printed pants. An even more stunning option: a silk print maxi skirt. I can not get over how beautiful that skirt is. I used my rent money to buy it but I had to have it! (Will post pics soon!)

A crisp white blazer ties together any outfit and is one of my wardrobe staples. You won't be disappointed in a tailored fit. Pair it with a nautical crop top.

Perfect heels for this season to complete the look.

It's all in the details...NastyGal crop top is another option. Don't you love mixing prints?! One of my favorite spring trends.
