Prime Time

Sunday, January 5, 2014

The key to getting your makeup look right is by starting out with a primer. Primers give makeup the ability to have more staying power and for products like blush and bronzer to go on smoother. It's a makeup MUST for day and evening looks.

Laura Mercier foundation primer diffuses light to create a lit-from-within glow all year round.

Lauren Conrad  knows that primers help keep your makeup from outside factors...like weather, sweat, and even tears from jerky boyfriends.

MAC Prep + Prime contains "special effects" silicones that give you an Instagram filter, but with makeup! It calms and soothes the skin, while canceling out redness and laying down the perfect base for a smooth canvas.

Tian Yi  proves that primers don't cake up-they give you a flawless glow!

Clinique Super Primer is a universal face primer for all skin types and is lightweight and oil free.

Smashbox Photofinish is one of my personal favorites. You can also customize your shade according to different skin issues...a green tinted primer for redness and a purple tinted primer for sallow skin. I get the clear original version-it's a safe bet!

Comment below with your favorite primer of choice :)

I'm back! After a hectic semester and whirlwind of events. I just got my hair done last week at Alex and Emilio salon in Royal Oak. My stylist uses ammonia free dye and also uses a Kerastase leave in treatment which is my must-have hair product.

I love my hair lighter even though everyone was telling me not to dye it! Always go with your gut girls!

Anyways, how was your Christmas?! I got the Naked 3 palette, lots of clothes, jewelry, shoes, and some stuff for my apartment. My mom bought me a juicer...I'm a health nut so this was one of my favorite presents because I have been dying to try juicing (such a white girl, haha!)

I am so excited to be back blogging and will figure out a way to work it into my schedule. Shooting outfits in Chicago in the winter is tough though, any ideas? I am going to have to hit up people with studios!

Xoxoxo more posts coming soon!
